Department: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

RVMCs has a level 3b NICU and treat 24 week preterm infants and up. There are a total of 26 NICU beds and nurse to baby ratios are 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. The NICU does have a dedicated transport team but they only transport those patients that are in need of surgical intervention. Average daily census is 20.
Education: Associates Degree in Nursing or above.
License/certification: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association. NRP certifications within six months of hire into position. National Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (preferred).
Experience: Two to three years current RN experience in Level III NICU. Experience in maternal and infant transport. Charge experience. Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served. Experience in an acute patient care environment.
Part Time 3rd Shift - Nights BLS - Basic Life Support American Heart Assoc. Required Oregon RN license Extended Shift - OT paid after completion of scheduled shift FTE .75 Minimum 2 years experience
