Job Description

The Registered Nurse manages all aspects of the nursing process an the delivery of patient and family centered care in the Wound Clinic. The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and authority to request and use governing and administrative resources, technological and support systems, and multidisciplinary clinical experts necessary to manage and deliver quality, cost effective patient care. Excels as a staff nurse. Functions as a clinical role model and leader while implementing, developing and evaluating standards of patient care. QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: -Minimum of 2+ years experience in wound care. Managerial and leadership experience is preferred. SKILLS ABILITIES COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: -Requires intense attention and concentration. Good visual, verbal, hearing skills, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds in a rapidly changing environment. EDUCATION REQUIRED: -Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing is required, Bachelors Degree required. LICENSES, CERTIFICATION andor REGISTRATION REQUIRED. -Position requires a ValidCurrent license to practice as a RN in Massachusetts. -Completion of a wound care program and certification (WOCN) Required. -Sharp Debridement Certification Preferred.
