The Wound Ostomy Nurse provides direct and indirect care for patients with ostomies, continent devices, draining wounds, fistulas, vascular, neurotrophic and pressure ulcers, and incontinence, with a goal of optimal possible rehabilitation. Education: Associates Degree in Nursing or above.
License/Certification: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association.
Experience: Previous Wound Ostomy Experience (strongly preferred). Knowledge of current wound care, wound care products and vacs preferred (strongly preferred). Comfort with working collaboratively within a team environment. Physically comfortable working in a clinic setting where a significant portion of the work day includes periods of walking, bending, and standing.
This position is a physically active job requiring a fast pace that includes high levels of walking, stooping, squatting, bending and standing.
This RN position will be best filled by a nurse who appreciates learning new modalities of wound care, enjoys a very physically active environment, likes working as a team, appreciates a simpler structure for charting and finds it rewarding working and establishing connections with patients and their families over time. On Call Var Hrs / Var Days BLS - Basic Life Support American Heart Assoc. Required Oregon RN license 40 Hour OT Rule - OT paid after 40 worked hours in a week On Call - eligible for 15% Premium Pay
