Radiology Imaging VA Radiologist
California-Department of Veterans Affairs Central California Healthcare System, Fresno, CA, affiliated with University of California, San Francisco Fresno Medical Education Program and a leader in health care access and quality, is seeking a full-time Radiologist to work in our Imaging Dept.
Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Radiology and residency trained in Diagnostic Radiology and must be skilled in interpretation of all radiology imaging modalities. Fellowship/subspecialty training (i.e., Musculosketal, Abdominal Imaging, MRI or Interventional) is not required, but is preferred. Nuclear medicine experience not required, but is preferred. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Responsibility for the quality of the examinations performed by the diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology Sections. Direct all supporting employees as needed during the performance of these procedures. Refer patients to other staff physicians for continuation of care. Perform a full range of diagnostic plain film radiography, sonography of vascular and nonvascular structures, CT, and MRI. Perform or assist in the performance of interventional radiology procedures. Perform diagnostic fluoroscopy to include evaluation of the upper and lower GI intestinal systems.
The successful candidate will actively participate in the medical education at the resident level. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full in the Health Sciences Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
