Performs and delegates various administrative duties.Responsibilities:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assists and oversees other receptionists positions within Home Office (HO); provides training, attendance and schedule oversight. 2. Assists in receptionist training activities for the company and meets with all receptionist positions in HO and Plans monthly. 3. Professionally answers and directs all incoming calls from other AMERIGROUP personnel, members, providers, and other business and general contacts; takes messages as necessary. 4. Screens caller regarding purpose of call and transfer to appropriate associate or department. 5. Gains sufficient information from caller to direct them to appropriate person or department 6. Greets guests and issues visitors badges and contact appropriate AMERIGROUP personnel in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner. 7. Assists others with projects such as special mailings, light word processing, etc. 8. Opens and closes visitor area and switchboard. 9. Prepares and sends emails to associates when needed. 10. Ensures that security and visitor security is maintained at all times. 11. Receives and distributes incoming and outgoing mail and packages. 12. Performs a variety of clerical duties; type memos, correspondence, reports and other documents. 13. Assists other departments administratively upon request. 14. Other duties as assignedQualifications:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Bi Lingual Spanish Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent Years and Type of Previous Experience: Required: Two years of experience on switchboard with receptionist duties Preferred: Previous administrative experience. Specific Technical Skills: Required: Ability to operate multi line phone. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Certifications or Licensure: Required: None Other: Required: Excellent phone etiquette Articulate with excellent verbal communication skills Team and customer services oriented Professional appearance Able to work with minimum supervision Able to multi task and change priorities quickly PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
