Description Position Summary: The Recovery Manager is a Risk Management department position and based out of the NextGear Capital corporate office. The Recovery Manager is a leader with strong communication, organization, negotiation and collection skills. The Recovery Manager is charged with recovery of losses through portfolio and personnel management.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure that company recovery collection goals are met through portfolio management and subordinate management, training and development.
Key contact with 3rd party collection system provider and IT to ensure seamless implementation and usage of collection management system.
Portfolio Management The Recovery Manager will review, analyze, and identify collection opportunities in the recovery portfolio. Those identified trends will be used to formulate and manage collection queues.
Account Management Recovery Manager will take the lead on certain accounts depending upon the size, exposure and complexity of the account(s).
Subordinate Management Managed through meetings, account/queue review, daily coaching and interaction, and by monitoring daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Training Development Development and execution for all training materials/recordings for the area of recovery inside the risk department
Create and revise PPA as necessary
Provide feedback to the DOR via meetings, reports and daily interactions
Review and maintain CMR (collection management report) for quality, accuracy and substance.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors.
Work directly with Field based personnel
All other duties as assigned by Company
Act as liaison with outside collection firms to domesticate and execute judgments.
Follow on asset retrieval garnishments and seizures.
Oversee recovery staff in the area of skip tracing and asset identification.
Train and mentor recovery staff in the area of collections and negotiations.
Organize work load to maximize effort and efficiency.
Provide detail reporting to the VP of Credit and Collections.
Provide detail forecasting and analysis to the VP of Credit and Collections.

Bachelor s degree preferred but not required
5 + years collection experience required (commercial/auto loan collection experience preferred)
