Recreational Therapist - Weekends/Vacation Coverage
$23.25hr

The Therapeutic Recreation Specialist's function is to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to assist patients in regaining or developing their highest functional level considering their impairments, to participate in the Performance Improvement Program, to participate in educational and orientation programs, and to train supportive personnel.


Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Activities Therapy.

One year experience working in therapeutic recreation programs preferred.

Current CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist), MT-BS (Music Therapist Board Certified). ATR-BC (Art Therapist Board Certified) or BC-DMT (Board Certified Dance /Movement Therapist.

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA (American Heart Association).

Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) required within 60 days of hire in Behavioral Health Unit.

Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills.
