DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
Provides regional onsite support of recruitment and training and development programs as well as administers various training grants.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates onsite training classes, including calendar administration, course communication and participant tracking, instructor recruitment and organization. Ensures training facility and materials are prepared. Coordinates food and other logistical items as necessary.
Works with general superintendent(s) and regional training representative to identify training needs in support of business initiatives. This includes statutory, operational, craft, management/leadership, and professional skills training.
Collects, tracks, inputs and reports on certification and licenses within CMiC. Provides reports as necessary.
Prepares and files paperwork in accordance with the rules and procedures relevant to grant awards. Keeps track of all records as well as processes grant invoices for payment.
Oversees daily management of regional training facility/ies, training equipment, and training materials. Responsible for ordering training materials and equipment for all training courses.
Works collaboratively with corporate training and development department to manage annual regional training calendar; ensures continuous coordination with corporate training calendar.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree and one year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work two Saturdays per month and occasional evenings.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and project management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with staff, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey information in a clear, focused, concise manner.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat (PDF).
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define common problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
