Primary Purpose: The Public Relations Director is responsible for developing and executing regional, national, and international editorial strategies, in line with Reed Krakoff s image and brand language, to support the achievement of our business goals. The PR Director will develop strong relationships and partner with individuals internally and externally to Reed Krakoff to drive PR programs to enhance our brand position and drive brand recognition both in the US and internationally.

Develop and implement annual, seasonal and project based PR strategies for all Reed Krakoff product categories.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional, national, and international editors to secure placement in key publications.
Foster new relationships and bring new contacts to Reed Krakoff on an ongoing basis.
Is highly engaged in the fashion world; continually up on news and happenings in the industry to drive ideas for Reed Krakoff.
Develop story pitches and generate editorial content for submission to publications.
Leads the creation and distribution seasonal national and international press kits and press materials.
Leads national editor visits and hosts events during seasonal NY Fashion Week.
Establish and maintain relationships with key industry leaders editors, stylists, and publicists.
Partner with PR colleagues on events and celebrity outreach in line with brand image and business objectives.
Oversee show production and logistics for the global press including lists, seating and front of house
Develop global PR strategy and enhance global brand image.
Coordinate news segments around collections and Reed Krakoff newsworthy opportunities.
Lead team responsible for communication, sample management, monthly press recaps.

Bachelor s Degree and 10+ years of PR experience required
Fashion experience required
Experience with regional, national, and international press required
Knowledge of editorial/advertising analysis, market research and competitive benchmarking
Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and work in a fast paced environment
Proven experience in developing comprehensive strategy for multi-channel brands
Strong strategic thinking & analysis skills
Proven people leader; ability to manage others and cross-functional partnerships
Strong leadership skills and a high degree of initiative needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
