Administratively responsible for Patient Accounts, Finance, Patient Access Management, Budgets and Reimbursement, Special Financial Projects and HIM.
Directs the hospital activities concerned with general business operations, accounting, statistical reporting and third party reimbursement.
Prepares detailed financial statements, budgets, business plans, cost and statistical reporting.
Responsible for the preparation and review of departmental operating reports and budgets.
Bachelors' degree with major in Accounting. or Economics required.
MBA or Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association desirable, but not required.
Eight to ten years in accounting, office management and accounts receivable experience in a healthcare or hospital required; three to five years should be I a management position.
