Job Description

Identifies, evaluates, and resolves guest and employee relations issues within the organization to facilitate communication and improve employee morale and work performance and administers employee benefit plans such as life, health, 401 (k) savings plans and leaves of absence by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Investigates employee and guest concerns. Works with senior store management to recommend a resolution.

Acts as consultant to senior store management on employee relations and benefit issues; provides guidance on company policies, state and federal regulations, disciplinary matters, and terminations.

Coordinates leaves of absence process for corporate, management, and hourly employees.

Manages benefit enrollment process through enrollment forms, benefit inquiries, family status changes, and confirmation statements.

Conducts average hours audit, processes vendor billing, arrears, and court orders.

Assists in ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

Audits stores for compliance on hiring practices, child labor laws, and company policies.

Maintains benefit vendor contacts to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.

Manages and coordinates recruiting process for Corporate employees as needed; maintains job postings, sources and interviews qualified applicants, administers testing, background checks, and onboarding process for new hires.

Produces reports for Senior Management of benefit enrollment, benefit deductions and plan participation as well as trends among employee and guest relations.

Assists Operations with new store openings; ensures the store is set up with HR/Benefit vendors, sends information for benefit enrollment and required employment postings.

Facilitates relocation of managers, including initiating relocation process and evaluating exception requests.

Project work as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with HR coursework preferred; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Individual must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to exercise good judgment in decision-making. Strong sense of follow-up. Able to multi-task and prioritize. Hold self accountable for high personal and professional standards of conduct. Must be teamwork oriented.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
