We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to drive the growth for our clients' aftersales business across the North American region including Mexico and Canada. As the Sales Engineer, you will have demonstrated success in building the important aftersales and service business for a capital investment goods company whose products are highly technical and complex. The growth of the aftersales business is a key component to our client's long-term strategy and success in this role will open up new doors for you in the business in the future. You will be a road warrior in this position as it will be important to build relationships within existing customers as well as new.
TITLE: REGIONAL SALES ENGINEER - NORTH AMERICA
LOCATION: SOUTH CAROLINA OR MEXICO CITY
Drives the expansion of the market to support product and service portfolio including parts, upgrades and service.
Develops relationships with customers to win new business or expand existing.
Expands and maintains CRM system.
Analyzes and assesses market to support development of competitive market strategies and value-added benefits.
Reports any market findings or changes affecting company products and services.
Provides progress reports, action plans, etc. to management as requested.
Supports inside sale during peak times.
Processes verbal or written customer requests, quotes and orders.
Complies with all applicable standards relating to health, safety per OSHA as well as maintains clean, safe workplace
Other duties as assigned
REPORTS TO REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Ability to develop relationships, cold call new business, grow existing clients
Results oriented, personally motivated by challenge
Strong time management
Strong communication skills - written, verbal
Team oriented, culturally sensitive and able to work internationally
Ability to use CRM databases, proficient MS Office suite
Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%)
Ability to travelinternationally - have valid, current passport
Valid driving license with clean driving record
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
University education with minimum of Associates degree
5Years sales experience in industrial or capital equipment industries
Experience working within international territory (Mexico & Canada)
Demonstrated success selling parts, spares and service in aftersales market
Fluent Spanish and English - Required / French an advantage
