JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are a leading Fortune 500 global manufacturer of power equipment products seeking a highly motivated Regional Manager to add to our staff. In this role, you would be responsible for managing a group of six Account Sales Managers who are responsible for dealer sales and development.
The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with the Product Managers and the Business Units to meet annual goals. Also, there is responsibility for implementing marketing strategies and sales tactics to achieve budgeted sales, market share, and profit growth goals. The Regional Manager will represent the sales function in senior staff meetings and contributes to the overall strategies and business direction of the company.
JOB RESONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Developing plans to meet overall sales goals. Leading and managing sales activities, including working with multiple resources and diverse groups of people to provide forecasting estimates for current products. Ensuring that the sales, market share, and profit objectives are achieved for each product line and market segment. Working closely with the Finance Department to establish new accounts. Leading the development of sales volume and sales expense budgets based on preset goals. Developing a strong distribution strategy and implement the necessary changes to increase coverage and gain market share in all market segments. Reviewing and approve call reports, expense reports, territory evaluations, market plans and distribution changes. Working with Account Sales Managers to analyze trends and potential within existing and new markets; establish new partners in each market and ensure excellent support for partners. Supporting the segment strategies and activities for investigating and launching new products. Performing full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: INTERVIEWING, HIRING, COACHING AND DEVELOPING EMPLOYEES; planning, assigning and directing work.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: We are seeking a highly motivated and successful people manager who has worked within the power equipment field for a manufacturer. We require someone who is familiar with sales through dealer channels. We ideally seek an individual who has knowledge of the power generation market...particularly residential power generators. A minimum of 3-5years of people management experience is a must.
