JOB DESCRIPTIONThe major purpose of this position is to work from the DC office to develop the Northeast sales territory for dry and reefer trailers by seeking out and closing new accounts as well as manage existing accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with existing NE/Canadian dealers to complete joint sales calls, oversee orderly production and delivery of their trailers, ensure timely payments are made. Increase their sales volume.
Make sales calls to and identify sales opportunities with existing NE direct accounts. Ensure orderly production and delivery of their trailers and ensure payments are received in a timely manner.
Assume the role of lead intermodal sales person. Make sales call on existing intermodal accounts.Ensure orderly production and delivery of their units and ensure payments are received in a timely manner.
Using personal knowledge and targeted market research identify new sales opportunities in the NE. Bring those opportunities to a successful close and increase the overall volume of new orders accruing to Translead from the region.
Bachelor's degree (Preferred: Business Administration, Economics, or Marketing)
Some prior knowledge of transportation industry
Some prior capital equipment sales experience
Available for extensive travel often with night and weekend involvement
