JOB DESCRIPTION

Description:
Purpose:
This position is responsible to support the Regional
Manager to ensure PerkinElmer s European sites have an
effective trade compliance program that meets all local
and applicable governmental rules and regulations.
The position will do this by acting as the primary trade
compliance point of contact for particular daily
transactions regarding SPL and sanctions reviews, red
flag analysis, ECCN and HTS classification, customs
valuation, country of origin analysis and export license
determinations.
This position will be required to work closely with the
ITC Advocates located in the region to provide support
and back-up on all activities related to the site s ITC
programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Familiar with the Corporate Trade Compliance
internal control plan and procedures to support and
comply with local and foreign regulations;
* Stay current on local and regional trade compliance
regulations and report changes that may impact
PerkinElmer s trade compliance program;
* Conduct Denied Party and Embargo Screening at
Customer Master level and supervise this function at
sales/purchase order level;
* Provide red flag and diversion risk advice to each
site;
* Provide advice for product, destination or re-export
license determination and technology screening
within the region;
* Test and validate license applications are submitted
for export of controlled goods according to local
laws and regulations;
* Guidance to all sites on Harmonized Tariff
Classification and ad-hoc classification projects
for new product lines;
* Ensure each site follows the Corporate Valuation
policy;
* Provide advice on Free Trade Agreements within the
region;
* Customs broker and Freight Forwarder Management
Technical Responsibilities
* HTS / ECCN Classification;
* Customs valuation;
* Encryption;
* Dual-use control export licensing;
* Other government agencies engagement;
* Denied and Restricted Party screening;
* Country of origin analysis;
* Record retention
Requirements:
Requirements for the position:
General:
* Fluent in English (min. CEFR C1 level);
* Minimum 3 years of experience;
* Certification or education of US and/or EU Import
and Export Regulations;
* Working knowledge of SAP s Global Trade Services
system a plus
