* JOB SUMMARY:
* To provide quality clinical nutrition services and education to patients in a variety of age groups. Also, plans, conducts, and evaluates nutrition educational programs.
* Bachelors or advance degree in foods and nutrition from an accredited institution. Completion of an internship approved by the American Dietetic Association.
* SPECIAL SKILLS:
* Registered Dietitian (active status) or registration eligible. Good process skills. Demonstrated effective interaction and communication (oral, writing, presenting) skills to communicate and interact with patients, and their families, physicians, hospital personnel, or other Food and Nutrition Services staff. Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details. Ability to function competently and maintain composure during stressful situations and changing work environment related to changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes. Ability to work cooperatively with health-systems, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members (i.e., physician, Rehab, Social Workers, clinicians, etc.). Ability to utilize effective management to set priorities and perform job related responsibilities. Ability to use critical thinking skills and clinical reasoning skills to effectively problem-solve and deliver care. *Driver`s License current and valid driver`s license, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision. Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
