Job Location: Hopkinsville, KY
Cumberland Hall has provided comprehensive mental health
services to adolescents, adults and children for more
than 20 years. Since our establishment in 1987, we have
been a trusted and respected member of the Hopkinsville,
Kentucky, community. Cumberland Hall is located near
Fort Campbell Military Base and is 60 minutes north of
Nashville, Tennessee, Cumberland Hall currently serves
children, adolescents and adults with behavioral and
substance abuse issues.
Assesses and documents initial data collection on
patient admissions and subsequent reassessment at least
once weekly according to policy and procedure.
Develops a written individualized Initial Treatment
Plan for the patient at the time of admission.
Addresses discharge planning needs of the patient and
family from the time of initial assessment throughout
Documents and communicates effectiveness of nursing
interventions and the patient s response to
interventions in the medical record.
Attends and participates in Multidisciplinary
Treatment Team Meetings as required.
Demonstrates competent nursing clinical skills,
including thorough assessment of the patient s condition
and nursing care needs, promoting total nursing care for
the patient.
Utilizes patient teaching opportunities.
Provides, documents and includes in the Master
Treatment Plan, patient and family education as the
needs are assessed.
Communicates at change of shift, accurate reports,
verbal or written, of patient s behavior, status and
issues requiring follow up.
Education: Licensed in the State of Kentucky as a
Registered Nurse or Compact State RN License
Experience: Prefer a minimum of one-year experience in
psychiatric /mental health nursing.
Knowledge: General knowledge of psychiatric nursing,
therapeutic relationships and processes, growth and
development, limit setting and behavior management.
