Position works very closely with Cardiac ICU, Cardiac Unit, OR, and Cath Lab taking care of vascular surgery cases, sheaths, and vasopressors. Summary: Carry out routine patient care assignments on the unit assigned, performing established nursing procedures for individuals or groups of patients, utilizing age-specific guidelines.Requirements: Graduate of nursing program: Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN. Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience. Satisfactory completion of WorkSteps evaluation prior to hire. Unrestricted RN license from the State of Colorado Board of Nursing or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.BLS and ACLS required. For new hires and transferring employees, certification will be obtained during orientation if necessary.DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Critical thinking skills while utilizing the nursing process based on evidence-based outcomes and Standards of Practice. Competency in clinical skills related to the patient population being served. Competency in decision-making for emergency situations. Competency in the management of critical patient situations.
