Position Summary:




The RN utilizes an interpersonal process that uniquely focuses on the total individual

and his/her role in their family, culture, and society. The RN utilizes the nursing process, which

includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN fulfills a

patient advocacy role: by ensuring the patient has adequate information to make health decisions

by coordination of total care; and by working with the patient to reach the ultimate goal of self-care

The RN is guided by the substantial specialized knowledge of nursing based on the

physiological and psychosocial sciences. The RN ensures that the quality of patient care meets

legal and professional standards and also acts as a role model to other members of the

healthcare team. Functions in concern with strategic goals of the organization and upholds the

mission, values and views of the organization.
