Summary of Job Duties
SJCH is a values-based organization that acknowledges the American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and AACN Synergy Model as it s framework of professional nursing practice. The goal of nursing care is to ensure safe passage with optimal outcomes across the lifespan. The art of nursing is based on a framework of caring and respect for human dignity (ANA, 2004) The heart of SJCH s practice model is the caring relationships that exist between patient/family and nurse. These caring practices are responsive to the uniqueness of the patient/family and create a compassionate and therapeutic environment. Registered Nurses at all levels of experience use the nursing process to safely, therapeutically, and efficiently care for a group of patients. Day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities fall within the area of the nurse s responsibility and includes coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care. The nursing process shall be documented for each hospitalize patient from admission through discharge. The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising, delegating, and directing activities of unlicensed assistive personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements
American Heart Association Provider as indicated by unit guidelines
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
Current California Nursing License
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Level A Requirement: Acute care experience
Level A Requirement: Basic computer knowledge; demonstrates ability to use a keyboard and mouse to input data and has working knowledge of office software (Word) Full time Night shift
