JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY This RN position in IR is part time benefit status of .6, 24 hrs/wk. Shifts range between 7am-5pm, 8 hr shift. Call is required 4-8 shifts/month for week day overnights and 23/7 on weekends.

The Interventional Radiology Lab of Good Samaritan Medical Center is a state of the art, single lab facility featuring a newly redesigned room which replaced our original lab of over 10 years. New lab design features new Philips x-ray equipment, a new workstation area for monitoring, and boom technology from Stryker. Services include but are not limited to: diagnostic and interventional angiography, IVC filter placements, vertebroplasties, biopsies, TIPS, G-Tube placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, fistulagrams, and thrombolysis to name a few. The IR department utilizes the GE mac Lab monitoring system, MedRad power injector, Philips FD20 x-ray system, EKOS, Possis, and Philips ultrasound equipment. The control room is shared with the Cath Lab of Good Samaritan of which is a three lab department and IR utilizes those labs as needed.
The Interventional Radiology Lab of Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center provides patients and physicians with services on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis. Normal hours of operation are from 7am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Associates are scheduled for 8 hour shifts. After-hours, weekends, and holidays are covered with a single two person call team.
Provide professional nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation during procedures within the IR Lab. Provide procedural sedation, critical care while in the lab as well as regular patient contact via phone consultation. Take equal share of On-Call requirements and be able to report to the department within 30 minutes of activation of a Call-Back. Meet the needs of the patient, family, physician, and staff through communication, coordination, evaluation, and teamwork.
Registered Nurse (RN), Current license to practice nursing in the State of Colorado, Current BLS and ACLS certification, 1 year previous IR Lab experience or 2 years of Critical Care experience (includes but not limited to ICU or ED).
