Position Type: Part Time

Part-time (19.50 hours per week). Located in Mililani Technology Park (Palii Bldg).

PURPOSE STATEMENT: The purpose of this position is to coordinate the collection of monies on past due and delinquent accounts via outbound calls.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position generally reports to the Credit Collections Supervisor.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Contacts and coordinates collection of monies on past due subscriber accounts.

* Utilizes computer, Excel, and AS400 billing system to verify account reconciliation.

* Contacts residential and business customers with a past due balance and schedules payment arrangements to prevent disconnection of services.

* Utilizes computer and reports to determine past due accounts.

* Utilizes telephone and clear and concise verbal communications to collect payments or payment arrangements.

* Regular attendance is required.

OTHER DUTIES:

* Performs other duties as assigned.

HUMAN REALTIONS: Has extensive contact with customers, office personnel, and general public. Has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of six months of office, billing, customer service and/or collections experience preferred. Stable employment history.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGES AND ABILITIES: Skills include: typing 40 words per minute, use of telephone system, and ten-key by touch. Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to multi-task, knowledge of basic mathematics, familiarity and use of computers, and general office procedures are preferred. Able to utilize various methods of communication in order to motivate customers for payment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, telephone, and ten-key.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for long periods of time. Typing and reading on computer and data entry on ten-key. Communicating via telephone, correspondence and in-person with customers.

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 pm - 9:00pm and Friday, 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
