JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Job Duties:
Reporting to the hardware lead, this manufacturing operations position will perform functions associated within all manufacturing operations. Specific functions involve working within the hardware support department building, trouble-shooting, repairing and refurbishing ruggedized scanners, printers, mobile tablets and various other devices for RMA s, Evaluation, and Repair orders. Adhere to established procedures and I.S.O. quality standards. Make recommendations for process improvements.
Summary of essential job functions
*Evaluate, trouble-shoot, analyze and repair ruggedized scanners, printers and other devices
*Competent and able to install and configure hardware and software in systems
*Component level testing
*Soldering, Identification and repair of faulty board level components
*Maintain organized accurate work-station
*Meet establish key metrics (KPI) used to measure your quality and productivity performance
*Update and maintain data for internal metrics in the NAV system and excel spreadsheets
*Adherence to warehouse safety guidelines is mandatory at all times
*Demonstrates proper use of tools
*Must be able to solder and perform circuit and board rework on surface mount components
*The majority of assignments is semi-routine in nature, but may require resourcefulness to resolve issues and complete tasks
*Demonstrated ability to identify, test, trouble-shoot and repair components and assemblies of various industry machinery, yet may have to consult management and engineers to make decisions on complex issues routinely as you learn
*Experience with one or more of the following required: Win Mobile
*Requires 6 months to 2 years minimum related experience or equivalent related degree
*May be required to work overtime or weekends on short notice
*Ability to lift 50 lbs
*Ability to pass mechanical aptitude test and parts identification test
*Strong organizational skills
*An understanding of the interaction between various pieces of basic board level componentry with a focus in hardware diagnosis
*Ability to multitask on several jobs at once
*Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
*Reliable and punctual
*Professional certifications are not required but are a plus.
*High school diploma required; Associates and above considered an advantage
