JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY As an entry-level Repairman you will be trained in Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company's Safety, Operation and Maintenance procedures related to plant facilities and equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining the security of the compressor station at all times; making routine inspections and reporting problems related to station equipment, station yard piping and valves; performing routine station maintenance activities; having a working knowledge and skills regarding the equipment used for pipeline work; investigating encroachments on pipelines and completing necessary reports; assisting in the maintenance and repair of the pipeline right-of-way and general equipment knowledge to perform the duties of the position.
Qualified candidates should possess a high school education or equivalent. Candidates should have the physical abilities required to perform the essential elements of the position including shoveling, painting, heavy lifting, working in high and low temperatures and general manual labor. Possession of a current driver's license is required. The successful candidate will also be expected to progress to a semi-skilled position within six months, and a skilled position within two years.
