JOB DESCRIPTION

APPLY
Assists unit based staffing assignments to achieve high quality and cost effective care. Assists schedule management and related processes (maintaining master schedules, entering schedule changes, PTO requests, etc.). Assists with payroll processing/timecard edits. Collaborates with manager to assist with interviewing of new team members, posting of new requisitions and coordination of new hire on boarding (i.e. paperwork, IT access, lockers, etc.). Collaborates with manager and nurse clinician in development of new hire orientation calendar. Contributes to and assists manager with performance evaluations. Champions new initiatives and helps in unit/departmental or hospital wide committees/task forces. Assists with & reinforces iCARE coaching, hourly rounding & all other Patient Experience initiatives. Reviews / audits charges and EMR documentation. Supports quality assurance programs and monthly reports for the department (incl. Point of Care Testing, OR start times, Environmental Rounding, etc.). Assists with data entry for Perinatal Network to support accreditation of Level 2E SCN and submits APORS to State of Illinois on appropriate patients. Develops, implements and enforces workflows and policies and procedures in collaboration with Nurse Clinician and manager. Serves as a resource to staff and manager. Contributes to and identifies needs of budget. Collaborates with manager to assist with creation, generation and preparation of materials for committees, subcommittees and department meetings, as requested. Responsible for preparation of staff meeting minutes. Flex into staffing to provide direct patient care when needed, as Charge RN or staff RN. Assures safety and security of patients, significant others, and staff. Participate in quality meetings as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. EOE including Disabled and Veterans. Required: Registered Nursing license issued by the State of Illinois. Bachelors of Science Nursing. BLS through American Heart Association. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider. 3-5 years Maternity (Labor & Delivery preferred) experience. Desired: ACLS
