JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB SUMMARY
The Research Assistant Senior will perform research and provide community education for a radon and secondhand smoke research study. This position will work as a research recruiter and health educator, as well as coordinate research activities and provide community education.
Duties include: screen and schedule research participants, recruit and enroll research participants according to research protocol, and complete interventions with enrolled participants. With guidance, this position will also develop and provide radon and secondhand smoke information, materials and outreach strategies and programs that help individuals, families, and their communities maximize and maintain healthier homes and lifestyles.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES
Excellent written and oral communication skills, public speaking, outreach and community engagement.
DOES THIS POSITION HAVE SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES*
MHP or MPH in Community Health and experience with radon education and advocacy, research, and health promotion preferred. Driver s license also preferred.
