JOB DESCRIPTIONResearch Coordinator: Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Research Coordinator at the Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab is responsible for providing support for research projects in both English and Spanish, including administrative duties, collecting data, adapting existing procedures to the needs of the project, making contributions to methodology, and preparing reports. This role will be expected to represent the lab in the field and maintain a strong relationship with early childhood learning center staff and administration.
This position is grant-funded for one year with the potential for future renewal.
Support the research of the Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab
Interpret protocol outlined in the research initiative
Identify resources and tools to address study needs and potential site constraints
Determine participant eligibility based on IRB guidelines and regulations
Contribute recommendations to enhance methodology and protocol of the study
Provide technical support to preschool centers participating in research
Visit preschool centers to carry out research protocol
Administer written and verbal surveys, obtain consent from research participants, and ensure completion of research protocol
Lead undergraduate and masters-level research assistants through research protocol both on site and at the University
Prepare written record of significant events that transpire during research monitoring
Support project development of current and other ongoing research endeavors
Recruit research participants on site and via phone call/text messages
Transcribe, enter, and code qualitative data for ongoing research projects
Provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager and monitor the progress of research
Draft reports about on-site activity
Develop memos summarizing data collection
Provide administrative and operational support to the Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab and the Center for Human Potential & Public Policy research initiative
Manage program resources and maintain financial records
Monitor expenses to ensure resources are spent appropriately as outlined in grant contract
Process and record financial records such as payments to research participants, replenishing petty cash funds, and submitting receipts to the financial tracking system.
Maintain research project supplies by tracking their use and restocking inventory as needed
Contribute to the maintenance and integrity of the Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab's research efforts and data collection
Manage data files according to IRB confidentiality guidelines and ensure the security of participant data
Translate and edit research protocol documents, including consent forms, text messages, and promotional materials to Spanish as needed
Support internal and external communications and marketing efforts of the lab
Prepare and distribute newsletters and other communications materials to partner organizations
Assist with coordinating meetings and events
Work with other team members and departments to plan and organize logistical needs of special activities
Provide assistance on tasks as assigned
