JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Research Technician: Perform research experiments in a pulmonary research lab. Focus on the development of basic research in particulate matter air pollution. Proficiently perform many laboratory techniques such as ELISA, DNA/RNA isolation, RNAi technology, qRT-PCR, western blot analysis, flow cytometry, and tissue culture. Perform in vivo experiments using mouse models of air pollution exposure. Isolate primary alveolar macrophages from mice. Maintain complete and accurate experimental records. Collate and analyze data. Record accurate data into computer database (IBM-PC or Mac). Summarize results and assist in interpreting procedural and theoretical finds. Maintain laboratory organization, order supplies, keep equipment in working order, and general laboratory duties.
