JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY The Researcher Specialist in the Outlier Research & Evaluation Group within CEMSE is expected to be a leader of research and/or evaluation projects as well as a team member and contributor to other Outlier research and/or evaluation projects. The qualified candidate should have experience with at least one of Outlier's focus areas: STEM Schools, Implementation Research, Computer Science Education, Youth/Public Media Use or Evaluation. The candidate should be highly skilled in quantitative and qualitative research methods, proposal development, writing for peer-reviewed publication, and mentoring and supporting the growth and development of others. Skills writing domain-specific research papers using coded models and numerical methods; qualitative and quantitative research design skills, data collection and analysis methodologies, and expertise with SAS, SPSS, Access and/or STATA are strongly desired. Experience overseeing and managing projects is also highly desired. Knowledge of school districts, the theoretical and practical aspects of educational reform, school district operations and the current status of STEM and computer science education reform is preferred.
