JOB DESCRIPTIONThe team is seeking a Service Routing subject matter expert, knowledgeable on 7750 Service Routing devices (Hardware/Software/Diagnostics), who will work onsite with Customer Teams to provide support and assistance at the direction of customer personnel. The candidate in this role will be required to work directly with end customers and in a consultative manner with product support teams, regional customer support teams, the R&D organization and systems engineering teams to deliver projects which may include the following responsibilities: Be a representative working at customer premises as a resident engineer (RE). Lead design discussions with the customer and consult with other team architects for design validations. Engage in the day-to-day activities of the customer as related to products and services. Produce and deliver product configuration based on pre-defined network designs. Produce detailed Network Migration Services to support our customer's requirements. Act as onsite technical prime for The following activities
? Lab/QA Environment Development, Administration, and Maintenance
o Lab/QA device maintenance and certification
o Development of Feature and Configuration testing plan based on a template provided by CUSTOMER
o Remote Feature and Configuration Testing and Validation
o Development of an Engineering and Testing Guide based on a template provided by CUSTOMER and the results of the Feature and Configuration testing
? Assist CUSTOMER operational teams with day to day operational support of the 7750 production network
? Network Growth and Deployment Consultation
o Network Planning
o New Hardware Configuration/Platform Requirements
o Test and Acceptance Processes Development and Execution
o Configuration Support
o Capacity and Optimization Analysis and Reporting
? Process Improvements
o On-going evaluation and recommendations to CUSTOMER on process, procedures, and best practice.
Produce and review design documentation, training documentation, and various customer-facing documents. Design Service for/upgrade/configure 7750 SRA environment. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer's technical management teams. The work is on-site with customers. The successful candidate will have strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills as well as being energetic, results oriented and a self starter. EDUCATION : Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience. Advanced IP/MPLS training/certification (SRA) EXPERIENCE : The ideal candidate should have work experience with all of the following (minimum 5+ years relevant work experience): Experience delivering professional services including network strategy, design and engineering, implementation, testing, customer training and on-site support for 7750 SRA. Network Engineering expertise at a Multi-vendor integration experience. Strong working level knowledge of IP Networking. Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), signaling protocols (RSVP, LDP), QoS, IP VPN, VLAN, VLL/VPLS, DPI, etc. Specific knowledge of 7750. Excellent hands-on network integration and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Influences others outside of the team to ensure goals are met and conflicts are resolved. Responds to requests for technical information and assistance in a timely and professional manner.
