Job Description

Community Educations Centers (CEC), is a leading provider of residential reentry and in-prison community corrections programs. Working in over 18 states across the U.S., we provide a foundation of support to change addictive and criminal behaviors and effectively prepare our residents for community reentry. With programming that encompasses assessment, drug and alcohol education, and family education services for juvenile and adult populations; we are redefining effective means to reduce recidivism.
Primary Purpose of Job:

Under close supervision, employee maintains orderly environment within assigned unit or area of facility by conducting standard operating procedures in accordance with facility policies/procedures and required Department of Corrections 'DOC' and Division of Criminal Justice 'DCJ' contractual obligations. Daily schedules are followed and employee serves as role model for residents. Monitors 'walk-around' resident behavior.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Supervises all resident movement within the assigned unit/area;
2. Provides orientation to new residents and discharges residents;
3. Performs scheduled resident headcounts and completes written count reports;
4. Conducts daily inspections and searches of resident sleeping quarters and body searches as
necessary;
5. Reports all resident accidents, injuries and behavioral incidents in writing to supervisor and
conducts appropriate crisis intervention;
6. Collects urine samples for random and routine substance abuse screenings of residents as
required;
7. Transports residents by company vehicle to out-of-facility appointments;
8. When assigned, remains at assigned security check point and monitors security cameras to
maintain safe and secure orderly environment for residents during the daily scheduled activities;
9. Enforces the facility rules of conduct with the residents;
10. Supervises resident visitation.

High school diploma or GED equivalent; Knowledge of personal computers and basic keyboard skills preferred. Valid driver's license.
