Description:
Dismas Charities, Inc. is one of the nations largest
not-for-profit provider's specializing in community
based adult re-entry programs. Dismas Charities provides
both residential and non-residential supervision and
treatment services for federal, state, and local
criminal justice jurisdictions.
Title: Resident Monitor
Monitors the custody, security, control and maintenance
of the facility and residents.
We will consider only Female applicants for this job
posting due to Bureau of Prison contract requirements
that we maintain staffing ratios in our Centers that
protect the privacy rights of the individuals assigned
to and residing at our Centers.
Schedule: Relief 16 hours per week Weekends.
Compensation: $10.43 per hour plus $3.59 for health and
welfare.
Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors Residents. Observes and documents the
accountability of all residents within the facility;
enforces and documents all rules, responsibilities and
restrictions assigned to residents; provides
maintenance, control and documentation of all
transactions regarding money, medications, first-aid
supplies, mail, visitors, telephone calls and referrals.
Assists with managing program services. Assists and
supports Counselors with resident Program Plans; and
provides urine surveillance services as required
including conducting, processing and documenting
substance abuse testing.
Monitors Facility. Conducts and documents scheduled
internal and external inspections of the premises, to
maintain the health, safety and control of the resident
and the appearance and upkeep of the facility.
Complies with all agency policies and procedures;
reports emergency situations and unusual occurrences
immediately to the staff duty officer; communicates all
relevant information to other staff in regard to
residents, the facility and the agency; attends all
required meetings

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years
paid work experience; demonstrated ability to work with
individuals and groups in both routine and emergency
situations. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred: Previous work experience/training/education
in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Security, Customer
Service and/or closely related area. Previous work
experience in monitored residential client settings.
