Assist and supervise individuals participating in a life skills service program (e.g., Lourdes Cullum House). Assist with debriefing emotional distress; encourage personal development; monitor and guide daily living skills; coordinate services with agency providers.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES:Provide essential services to the residential treatment facilities clientsAssist lead counselor in planning for continuity of care for residentsAssist in the day-to-day operations of the facilityMaintain and promote effective communication between residential staff and other departmentsExhibit teamwork in resident care servicesDemonstrate professional accountabilityImplement measures that safeguard the welfare, care, health, and safety of residentsKnowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population served in Lourdes Cullum House
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School DiplomaFood Handlers PermitWA State Counselor Registration (Agency Affiliated Counselor)CPR/First AidAbility to work with a culturally diverse population
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Associates Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related fieldSix (6) months working with developmentally or mentally ill individuals in a residential setting, crisis, group home or inpatient setting.Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking abilities Per Diem High School Diploma or GED CPR/First Aid Food Handlers Permit WA State Registered Counselor-Agency Affiliated Counselor
