SolarCity is seeking applicants to join the industry s leading Residential Installation Operations team. Take the next step in being part of the world s largest solar provider deploying solar across the US and internationally. The Operations team performs all field work related to site audits, preparation, installation, inspections and maintenance of residential solar systems. Every person on the team plays a crucial role in keeping the business moving forward. Solar PV Installer, Lead Installer, Crew Lead Rooftop warriors; installing Solar PV systems
Site Surveyor First on a jobsite, collecting accurate data in order to plan for an installation
Field Service Technician Provides diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance services to PV systems
Whether you are interested in conducting site surveys or putting panels up on the roofs, we have a place for you out in the field.
Job specific requirements may vary based on position in field
Previous solar experience a plus
Must be able to safely lift heavy objects multiple times per day including but not limited to an extension ladder, solar PV panels and inverters
Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc)
Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time
Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
High school diploma or GED required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Excellent customer service skills required
Thrive in a team environment
Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
Must have a valid state driver s license and reliable transportation
Must have a clean driving record (example- no DUI in the last 5 years)
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen
