JOB DUTIES:

A. FACILITATE STRUCTURED FAMILY RESILIENCY TRAINING SERVICES (BRIEFS, CONSULTATIONS, PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS, SKILL BUILDING GROUPS (SBG), INDIVIDUAL FAMILY RESILIENCY TRAINING (IFRT).

A1. Maintain fidelity to intervention protocol.

A2. Facilitate sessions with family members, including school age and adolescent children from military and with and diverse backgrounds

A3. Prepare material for individual intakes/orientations

A4. Answer questions regarding deployment cycles, combat operation stress, child development, military family life.

A5. Give referrals as necessary.

A6. Collect assessment and quality assurance information.

A7. Prepare materials for the intervention sessions.





B. USE COMPUTER DATA ENTRY TO COMPLETES INDIVIDUAL INTAKES/ORIENTATIONS AND ASSESSMENTS WITH FAMILY PARTICIPANTS AND DOCUMENT SERVICE ENCOUNTERS.

B1. Complete family intakes/orientations with military families on installation delivery sites and/or by telephone.

B2. Update family contact information

B2. Complete progress notes following each family group/session

B3. Document and update information in the computerized family record following each participant s participation.

B4. Complete all additional required documentation to assist with coordination of the program.

B5. Monitor family progress through FOCUS model.

B6. Track and follow up families as needed, including making phone calls, mailing letters, email, etc.

B7. Problem-solve issues related to family attendance at services.





C. ASSIST WITH PROGRAM OUTREACH WITHIN THE MILITARY COMMUNITY.

C1. Assist with the scheduling of brief and other outreach activities.

C2. Prepare materials for briefs and other outreach activities.

C3. Conduct briefs and other outreach activities.

C4. Complete progress notes after each brief and outreach activity.

C5. Follow up with command, provider, or family contacts made during briefs and outreach activities.





D. COMPLETE SHORT-TERM TRACKING AND FOLLOW-UP CHECK-INS WITH FAMILIES THAT PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM.

D1. Keep the Site Director informed about the progress and status of participating families.

D2. Coordinate with the Administrative Coordinator for scheduling and contacting families for follow-up check-ins.





E. ATTEND TRAINING AND SUPERVISION SESSIONS AS ASSIGNED.

E1. Complete initial and ongoing training in FOCUS model.

E2. Attain certification in the FOCUS model when eligible.

E3. Attend team, model and personal supervision meetings as assigned.





F. COMPLETE OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.





JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. or M.A. in Psychology or related fields (Preferred).



Experience in the area of family and/or child services.



Experience and/or knowledge about working with military populations.



Experience delivering family and/or children in individual and/or group settings.



Experience working with children, teens and adults.



Skilled in keeping accurate and timely records.



Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



Ability to work effectively and closely with other members of the service team.



Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.



Ability to work independently and report to the Site Director on a regular basis and in a timely manner.



Must have valid driver s license, auto insurance and access to an automobile.



Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access. Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to follow University Policy and Procedures.
