Clinical practice activities include, but are not limited to performing EKGs, assessing cardiopulmonary function, assessment based therapeutic interventions, analysis and reporting of clinical response, interdisciplinary discharge planning, and patient/family education. Accountabilities of the RespiratoryCare Practitionerinclude the collection and assessment of history and physical information, diagnostic testing, and review of clinical data pursuant to the development and monitoring of planned interventions in collaboration with the medical staff and other members of the health care team. The Respiratory Care Practitioner supports, and participates as appropriate, in inter/intra departmental meetings, performance improvement activities, continuing education, professional growth and development activities and performs other duties as assigned. The incumbent performs professional duties that relate to patient care in the scope of practice defined by the department and hospital as well as other duties assigned by the department manager. The incumbent performs assessment of patient condition, assignment of outcomes and quality control of tasks, treatment and testing environment. Requirements Required: NBRC Credential RRT within90 daysof hire Applicable State Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred: PALS or NALS NRP ACLS
