Kai, meaning 'seed' in the Pima language, features a menu rich in creativity, history and Native American culture. Chef de Cuisine Joshua Johnson incorporates the essence of the Pima and Maricopa tribes and locally farmed ingredients from the Gila River Indian Community to create unforgettable masterpieces. We are currently searching for a service professional with a passion for hospitality and leading others. Our Supervisor at Kai will be involved in ensuring a positive guest experience for both our internal and external guests. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of food and beverage supervisory experience within a chain or independent restaurant, or resort or hotel property. Selected candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of prior service experience, ideally within a fast paced environment. Previous leadership or supervisory exposure is strongly preferred, but not required. This hospitality professional should also have experience with Micros, H.S.I or other similar Point of Sale system. Competency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft 07) is also required. Excellent communication skills are essential to this individual's success, along with a proven ability to supervise a large service team. Requirements POSITION PURPOSE Daily supervision and direction of outlet service staff. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality standards for outlets. Interact with guests to ensure a positive guest experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AVERAGE ' OF TIME 45' Ensure that meals are being served in a professional and timely manner by circulating within the outlet and communicating with the kitchen and the order takers. Handle guest complaints. Monitor and supervise set up and maintenance of room service area to ensure that it is up to standard. 25' Ensure availability of manpower, supplies, and equipment to ensure positive guest experience. Assist in hiring, scheduling, supervision and control of cashiers, supervisors, greeters, servers and bus attendants. 15' Attend pre-meal meetings and conduct ongoing training of employees to ensure that employees continue to improve their performance. 15' Assist in the completion of reports on production and necessary requisitions.
