Major Function: Ensures that every guests has an excellent experience, inclusive, service, food quality and atmosphere. Performs the opening and closing responsibilities of the restaurant. Supervises 4-6 associates per shift. Oversees guest relations and guest inquiries. Essential Functions: Provides the highest quality of service to the customer at all times Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Restaurant Staff Interprets company policies and provides a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety programs and job safety analysis Monitors and ensures compliance with all Guidelines for Operations Ensures adherence to the Guarantee of Fair Treatment Policy Orients and trains new associates. Conducts ongoing training of all Restaurant associates to increase job knowledge and skill level Coaches associates to encourage positive behaviors and correct negative behaviors Promotes teamwork and associate morale Interprets job specifications to Restaurant department and assigns duties Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists associates in solving work problems Initiates or suggests plans to motivate associates to achieve work-related goals Monitors restaurant uniform standards After service training, assists in ensuring staff continues to learn the importance of excellent service Counts bank and verifies amount Prepares Micros for operation Checks BEOs for restaurant functions Checks schedules and calls in staff as needed Unlocks all accessible areas and checks for cleanliness and operability Makes assignments for shift to include extra cleaning assignments Checks in any liquor orders Balances all credit cards, Room charges, A&P charges, cash and Sales by Server Counts and locks up cash drawer Assists staff when needed to best serve the guest Meets with sales and the food & beverage managers once a week to verify upcoming events and order any special items needed Briefs all associates at start of shift of special needs for day or week Makes sure that all deliveries are put away in a timely manner Assists in drawing up master cleaning schedule, gives to each associate in writing and follows through on its procedure Assist in delivery of food orders to rooms, if needed Logs invoices Wears proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures Practices safety standards at all times Facilitates safety training for department associates Ensures 100' compliance with Life Safety Training Guidelines Adheres to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including but not limited to, those contained in the Associate Handbook Responsible for Financial and cost controls, i.e. cash drawer checks, pour controls Responsible for dry storage ordering Monitors activities in the dining room, by 100 ' table visitation Ensures that all guests are greeted promptly when entering the Dining Room Covers the Host/Hostess when not at the door Ensures that all associates live the CARE Service Pledge, by monitoring performance and continual training During the course of the job duties, this position may require the Supervisor to carry service trays, bus tubs, or food & beverage supplies. Which may require physical lifting of weighted items. Must be able to move throughout the Dining Room, Kitchen, Service areas and the hotel, requiring a minimum of 75' of shift time.
