What are the responsibilities of Retail Client Solutions Analyst*

As an Analyst you will use strong organizational and analytical skills to facilitate contract renewal closure with our client service and client insights teams. You will support these teams as the Renewals expert in all phases of the Renewal cycle including complex contract management; financial analysis ; contract assessment, analysis and validation; legal and compliance oversight; retail program rule enforcement/negotiation ; audit proof record keeping; continuous process improvement and other custom projects.

The RCS Analyst works very closely with our team members and clients to coordinate, execute, analyze, and enforce Retail Program Rules for Retail Gateway Programs purchased by the client, as well as recommend potential program enhancements and provide input and guidance to CS and clients regarding budgeting, cost containment and financial impact of any changes to category coverage; and continually track progress of hundreds contract renewals from development to approval to signature to financial system for booking revenue.

To be successful in this role, one must demonstrate the ability to multi-task complex financials; balance time sensitive competing priorities, proactively manage lead-time, while being responsive to high volume email and phone inquiries from clients and CS team; adhere to contractual deadlines, program rules, legal requirements and required lead times; and identify what is required to keep on task and compliant with strict Contract Renewal protocols and processes.

To be successful as a RCS Analyst you must possess and be able to execute upon five key skill sets:

* Planning and Organizing: Determine effort and resources required to meet objectives; able to plan, coordinate and manage deadlines effectively to ensure task completion:

* Plans for, organizes and coordinates work and resources to respond to renewals delivery requests and to ensure project goals and timelines are met.

* Holds self and others accountable for meeting timeline and quality standards.

* Ensures client requests are thoroughly understood by the Renewals team and that solutions meet or exceed the client s needs.

* Analytic Capability: Use a systematic process to assess contracts that involve various phases, platforms and strict protocols accurately tracking the renewal from assessment to completion in real time:

* Proactively identify, structure, and plan renewals by analyzing multiple data points across several software programs.

* Brings about successful delivery of on time client renewals through a matrix of required check points, contractual deadlines and client approvals within multiple teams and processes.

* Consistently seeks to improve processes and approach within established protocols without compromising accuracy.

* Quality Control: Drive to achieve high quality results through effective process protocols

* Adheres to/masters process for compliance and pricing, focus on detail orientation and checks and balances.

* Establishes a reliable and accessible audit trail.

* Anticipates and plans for priority and exception handling.

* Identifies opportunities to improve systems to prevent problems or keep them from recurring

* Client Focus: Consistently act with client satisfaction in mind and follow through on commitments to ensure the needs of the client are exceeded:

* Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer renewal preferences, process constraints, lead time and budgeting requirements.

* Effectively communicate those needs to cross-functional team members to ensure that your client s needs/opportunities are clearly understood internally at IRI.

* Be a trusted partner and resource to your CS and CI lead on our manufacturer-facing teams.

* Demonstrate a strong desire to help your client understand the rules of engagement and contract options that best deliver on the CRX value proposition while improving contract retention and client satisfaction.

* Sales Aptitude:

* Keen interest in the sales cycle from prospecting to retention.

* Friendly personality, strong social skills, personal motivation to produce results.

* Strong verbal and written communication/negotiating skills to work with internal CS teams and clients.

Key qualifications:

* Business Experience

* 2-5 years work experience retail and/or CPG background desired.

* Strong organizational and communication skills with direct sales experience

* Complex project management experience

* Contract, renewals and/or legal or sales proposal experience

* Highly organized and focused managing time-sensitive deliverables

* Personal Attributes

* Possesses a hybrid of analytical and creative ({(} sales) skills; planning, communication, quality control, policy and procedural orientation.

* Inquisitive, self-starter and eager learner who enjoys working both in groups and independently.

* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple facets of a time sensitive project simultaneously.

* Willing to invest the time necessary to master the Retail Gateways Renewals process from contract preparation, to planning and process improvement into prospecting, training and New Sales.

* Education

* BA or BS degree required, graduate degree preferred.

* Technical Skills

* Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Access

* Advanced Excel skills required ({(} e.g. Pivot Tables, macros, etc.)

* Advanced Access skills desired
