What are the responsibilities of a Retail Client Solutions Principal*
The Retail Client Solutions Principal will be responsible for working in partnership with the Retailer as a trusted advisor to drive growth, innovation, and marketplace relevance. While activities will vary, the Principal will primarily focus on building a consultative relationship with the Retailer, influencing key decision-makers, working with large data sets and analyses, and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to present relevant, timely, and impactful insights. The successful candidate will possess the flexibility, poise, expertise, and capacity to be relevant and influential at all levels within the Retailer organization, including the Executive-level /C-suite.

The Principal will leverage her/his expert consulting aptitude to identify business issues that align with appropriate IRI solutions and innovations; develop, create and deliver strategically compelling proposals; and close engagements that exceed client expectations while being mindful of internal revenue and profitability commitments. The Principal must also build and leverage highly collaborative relationships across the IRI organization and lead a team of interdisciplinary direct and indirect/dotted-line reports.

Other responsibilities of a Retail Client Solutions Principal may include:
- Scoping client issues within an analytical framework; building a roadmap that clearly identifies to the prospective client the return on investment
- Developing feasibility, pricing, and timing for proposals via internal approval processes and external proposal closure
- Providing guidance on the final presentation of insights and strategic recommendation({(} s)

What are the requirements of a Retail Client Solutions Principal*
- Ten or more years of proven relationship development experience leveraging various analytical solutions to consumer packaged goods ({(} CPG) and retail
organizations. Experience may be in one or more of the environments below:
- Research supplier or consultancy
- Management or Strategy Consulting firm
- Market research supplier
- CPG manufacturer
- Retailer
- Proven track record of achieving business goals, including and not limited to client satisfaction, financial targets, and thought leadership/innovation
- Demonstrated ability to sell innovative concepts both internally and externally
- Ability to manage competing priorities across the business
- Strong analytic acumen and written/verbal communication skills
- Proven brilliance with PowerPoint/presentation development and delivery skills; the ability to articulate complex analyses with a variety of audience;
expert proficiency in Excel
- BS or BA degree required, MBA preferred
