Sodexo University Services currently has an opportunity for a Retail Manager 2 position available to join our team at Langston University, Langston Oklahoma. Langston is the only HBCU in Oklahoma striving for excellence in academic achievements. This position is responsible for High Retail Volume managing 1 Restaurant, a Convenience Store and a Coffee Shop, Jazzman's, Sodexo name brand coffee-shop, Concessions and Catering. Catering Volume is at a minimal and seek an individual to build the department to reach its goal of being able to hire a Catering Manager. He/She will assist in the planning and execution of Sodexo programs and systems. Must have Cash Handling experience and strong financial acumen. Additional job responsibilities include... * Continue to innovate the retail offering * Provide the customer with a consistent quality experience * Maintain Cash control and payroll records, as well as inventory and purchasing * Monitor and report on the unity retail budget annually * Ensure compliance of Food safety, sanitation and overall workplace safety standards * Scheduling * Drive Sales, revenue, customer and client satisfaction **RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE** The ideal candidate will have: * Retail food service supervisory or management experience, preferably within a college setting. * POS system & cash handling experience. * Demonstrated knowledge of food and labor cost controls. * Food safety and sanitation skills. * Very strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead and motivate a diverse group of associates. * Professional demeanor and ability to interact with clients, faculty and senior management. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Qualifications & Requirements Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED Basic Management Experience - 1 year Basic Functional Experience - 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.
