Sodexo has an opportunity for a Retail Food Service Manager 2 to oversee retail food operations and assist with sports concessions at Augustana University located in Sioux Falls, SD. Reporting to the General Manager, the Retail Manager will oversee a campus retail location with a grill, simply-to-go offerings and We Proudly Serve Starbucks as well as assisting with concessions for the university's outstanding NCAA Division II athletic programs within the Elmen Center and KO Stadium. Additional duties include retail marketing initiatives to drive sales. Relocation Assistance is available! Qualified candidates will display self-motivated ambition, be team-focused and have strong leadership attributes. The ideal Retail Manager candidate will have: * 2+ years of retail food service management experience, preferably within a college/university setting. * Experience working with retail concepts and developing marketing ideas to drive sales. * Cash handling experience. * Experience leading and training a retail food service staff including supervisors. * Social media experience including FaceBook and Twitter. * Ability to think out of the box to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales. Position Summary Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Qualifications & Requirements Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED Basic Management Experience - 1 year Basic Functional Experience - 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.
