OVERVIEW:

PURPOSE

The Retirement Plan Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the qualified US defined contribution retirement plans and financial wellness program. This position is responsible for administrative error resolution, quality control and coordination of employee communications regarding the 401(k) retirement plans. Additionally, this role will provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of those plans and programs. This position works closely with the qualified US defined contribution retirement team and its vendors, to support a variety of initiatives and projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Serves as primary contact for 401(k) vendor

* Coordinates all 401(k) employee communications including required regulatory notices

* Supports 401(k) compliance including non-discrimination testing and governmental filings

* Acts as level 2 support for 401(k) employee issues (vendor acts as level 1 support)

* Responsible for error resolution related to 401(k) plans

* Documents/Maintains administrative procedures and policies related to 401(k) and financial wellness program

* Audits employee and employer 401(k) contributions and balances to vendor records

* Supports external 401(k) ERISA audit requirements

* Benchmarks industry trends

* Provides support for 401(k) plan and financial wellness program implementations and rollouts

* Ensures compliance with internal control procedures - communicating problems in operations, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law

* Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas

* Provides employees with quality customer service

* Ensures all filing and compliance requirements are met with respect to the 401(k) plans



RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS

* Interacts with HR Managers and Coordinators to provide 401(k) communications and training to fit business needs

* Works closely with NABS to ensure accurate and timely contributions into the 401(k) plans

* Oversees the work of external vendors/consultants hired to assist with the accurate recordkeeping of the 401(k) plans

QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree

Field of Study Preferred: HR, Finance or related field

Required Training/Certifications: CEBS or like certification a plus

Required Work Experience: 1-2 years in HR or related field

Required Computer/Software Skills: Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
