JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition Description
The Revenue Team in the Corporate Accounting Group is responsible for the following:
-Revenue recognition and reporting across all business markets
-Maintenance of all revenue and billing systems
-Client billing and accounts receivable management
The revenue analyst will be involved in the monthly accounting close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and revenue analysis as well as client billing and receivables management for various business segments of SEI. The revenue analyst will be working with various billing systems within the Corporate Accounting Group.
Specific job responsibilities will include:
-Handle monthly accounting close responsibilities including monthly revenue analysis
-Handle monthly and quarterly invoicing/billing responsibilities including receivables tracking and management
-Monitoring and tracking of client contract changes using various billing and accounting systems
-Work with business management and providing problem solving support
-Creating monthly revenue journal entries to properly recognize revenue earned by the business unit
-Reconciliations of related revenue and balance sheet accounts at month end
-Work on special projects as required
Minimum 3.0 GPA
-A minimum of 2 years experience required
-An accounting or finance degree and experience with Microsoft Office software
-Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills
-Ability to think and work independently as well as in a team environment
-Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow through with goals and objectives
-Attitude of responsibility and accountability for accomplishing stated objectives
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
