BASIC FUNCTIONS: The Revenue Analyst, will be responsible for maximizing revenue and profits for multiple hotels by supporting the cluster Director of Revenue Management and Regional Director of Revenue Management. This position will be specifically responsible for update, process, generate and distribute daily, weekly and monthly revenue management reports. The Revenue Analyst will also be responsible for the market intelligence, commercial analysis, pricing implementation and inventory management of all revenue management system. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE Education: High School or equivalent education required. Bachelors Degree Preferred. Experience: at least one year of revenue management or related analytical experience preferred. Develop and use statistical modeling to determine forecast accuracy and identify areas of revenue opportunities. Perform ad-hoc analysis and present findings to Cluster Revenue Management team Proven analytical and conceptual skills Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills Demonstrated strong problem solving and process improvement skills Demonstrated strong partnering skills Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerPoint, Excel Graphs, etc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain ongoing knowledge each property and their competitors pricing of rooms, outlets, and all other facilities to respond appropriately. Effective use of forecasting tools for guest rooms availability control and pricing. Assist in creating an accurate forecast in rooms demand, optimize availability and recommend necessary strategy changes. Primarily responsible for maintaining consistent pricing and selling strategy across the Central Reservation system (CRS), Property Management System (PMS), third-party online systems, and free sale charts to ensure accurate use of availability controls in all systems. Maintain ongoing knowledge of the global, local and environmental issues impacting your city and hotels. Assist Revenue Management in the revenue decisions by highlighting opportunities and keeping informed of their results. Check competitor strategy on a regular basis, reviewing pricing and their availability. Ensure that upselling and cross-selling remain core strategies for maximizing revenue within and across client segments. Assist in production of weekly forecast for trend analysis and decision support by ensuring all system data is current and accurate. Prepare and analyze monthly reports for Revenue Management and ultimate submission to the regional office and the hotel. Prepare and analyze all appropriate reports to present at the management meetings. Prepare and analyze production statistics and track information to identify potential business and market trends. Highlight your findings to the cluster revenue management team Ensure relevant revenue issues are investigated and analyzed. Identify potential new opportunities to improve revenue performance. Analyze all refused, lost, cancelled and waitlisted business for both rooms and events. Propose and implement changes to maximize revenue in these areas. Provide strategic analysis and input for the Revenue Management decision making process. Ensure accuracy of all reservations and other data in the Central Reservation System, Property Management System, Channel Distribution System and Automated Revenue Management System. Conduct quality control checks in PMS/CRS input to ensure data accuracy and follow up with Reservations managers as appropriate. Ensure that all rates are loaded by accurate completion of rate databases including Central Reservation System, Property Management System, Channel Distribution System and Automated Revenue Management System. Monitor automated revenue management system (if applies) decisions, interpret its forecast and present to the cluster revenue management team. Audit operating standards & procedures in the Reservations department to ensure they comply with properties best practices. Maintain accurate and ongoing records of controls applied to all systems.
