Joint Intergovernmental Multinational Specialists routinely serve as foreign dignitaries and Senior municipal and community leaders and act in conjunction with a U.S. Army brigade commander (Brigadier General or Colonel), Battalion Commander (Lieutenant Colonel), and selected members of the brigade staff. Major duties include Key Leader Engagements and understanding of political-military terminology and concepts for senior military and civilian leaders. A JIIM Specialist will be required to play one of several roles of various indigenous people in a Province, District, or village and will convincingly recreate the political, religious, cultural, and economic relationships reflected in the applicable community. The training environment where the role player acts is a realistic town, village or training room erected on a military training site. Events include various scripted and unscripted actions within a village and include the roles of village officials (provincial or district governor, mayor, advisor, judge), insurgents, police, interpreters, Army or other military personnel.

JIIM Role Player must have a thorough knowledge of stabilization operations, international law, community development, and/or humanitarian assistance. JIIM Role Players routinely use military forms and maps; frequently use mobile radio communications; supervise and performs maintenance on all assigned equipment. Duties require routine wear of replicated ethnic or cultural costumes. Individuals routinely perform role-play duties while in an outdoor, field-type environment, with limited services and under austere conditions; performs all other duties as required consistent with this occupational specialty. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Must be in good physical condition capable of prolonged sitting, standing and walking cross-country up to 2 km; must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; must be able to be instrumented using either MILES or IPDD systems in accordance with the needs of the Joint Readiness Training Center; must be able to work irregular hour shifts; length of shifts may vary up to 16 hours as required by the JRTC; must be able to travel alone throughout the continental US and foreign countries; individual will be subject to random drug screening; must possess a valid Louisiana State Drivers License (or equivalent). MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Must be able to pass a background check; practical experience in civic/municipal governmental, military, or police; desired at the ranks or level needed to portray senior representatives and supervisors. high School graduate; supervisory experience in military or civilian organizations of comparable size; possess excellent oral and written skills; to include the ability to listen and interpret messages correctly; be thoroughly familiar with Microsoft Office applications; proficient in standard military terminologies and radio procedures; proficient in military map reading including deciphering and encoding locations using the Military Grid Reference System.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Should have or be able to obtain and hold a Secret clearance; previous military experience at the NCO/Jr Officer level or comparable civilian experience; Military or civilian supervisory experience as a Role Play Character Actor in support of live-training conducted at a US Army Combat Training Center; relevant military or contractor experience within the past four years in either Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom.
