RollUp - Confectioning - Plant 44 - 2nd Shift - (Job Number: 55199)

Position Overview To finish the edges of rugs by sealing or gluing fringe. To package rugs in the Confectioning Department. Responsibilities Wrap rugs for shipping.Manually roll up rugs when rollup is not working.Follow labeling procedures.Drive lift truck to move materials in department.Operate rollup machine.Know rollup defects and corrective actions.Operate bagger machine.Communicate with inspectors to ensure packaging instructions are followed.Know reroll procedures.Maintain a clean, safe work area and clean,safe equipment.Help in transport of large rugs.Assist inspector with necessary supplies if needed.Train new rollup personnel.Empty garbage periodically during each shift and at the end of each shift.Keep supervisor informed of supply shortages.Return stock (POP's, stretch film) to proper locations.RequirementsMust be able to bend, stoop, and crouch down in order to perform job task. Must be able to stand 7.2 hours out of an 8 hour shift.Must be able to maneuver rugs on the air table.Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.Must be able to flip, lift, and stack rugs.Must be able to endure tedious, meticulous work.Must be able to roll up rugs with hands and wrap in plastic for shipping.Must apply labels with a pinch motion.Must be able to work around and handle wool products.Must be able to read and writeMust have oral and written communication skills.Must be able to drive a lift truck.Must have LTO license recertified annually.
