THIS POSITION STARTS AND ENDS DAILY IN COLUMBUS, OH.
Drives truck over established route to deliver and sell products or render service, collects money from customer, and makes change by performing the following duties.

Ability to calculate customer order, maintain proper billing and keep all paper work updated.

Drives truck to deliver milk or ice cream and other various products to places of business.

Collects money from customers, makes change, and records sales.

Ability to complete all required paper work on the computer system.

Records sales or delivery's information on daily sales or delivery record.

Informs regular customers of new products or service.

Listen to and resolves service complaints. Places stock on shelves or racks.

Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.

Obtains customer signature on receipt for product picked-up or delivered.

Complete all necessary paper work required by company policies or governmental regulations.

Perform any other assigned tasks.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year of Class A driving experience preferred.

REASONING ABILITY to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and must all so have the ability to operate the route accounting equipment and deal with several abstract variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess and maintain a valid commercial drivers license with at least a class ?A? and air brake endorsement and a current DOT medical card.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The candidate must pass a company pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen prior to commencing work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb or balance, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stretch and reach with hands and arms, and to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to six cases on a two-wheel hand truck. Cases weigh between 30 and 50 pounds. The employee must frequently push and pull bossies of product across rough surfaces and inclines with weights up to 800 pounds. The employee must frequently operate manual or electric pallet jacks with loads up to 2,482 pounds.
