Job Title: Sales Analyst/ Business Development-Food Service Sales

Reports to: Divisional VP of Food Service

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

This position will gather data from a variety of sources and utilize the data to calculate reports & forecasts in order to detect Sales trends and growth opportunities. Will publish these Sales Reports to the various Foodservice Sales Teams, and participate in the Sales Planning process. This position will provide Trade Spending analysis to the various Foodservice Sales Teams, and Sales Management. This position may include assisting with pricing analysis, presentations, promotions, current systems, and other assigned projects. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.



PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Data Gathering & Analysis

* Utilize data to forecast sales trends and growth opportunities

* Report data to the Divisional VP and Foodservice Sales Teams

* Meet weekly and monthly with FS Distributor Sales Team to review Sales Reports and recommend Sales Tactics to improve Zone results

* Recommend growth strategies designed to establish, measure and achieve account specific Foodservice Growth Objectives with FS Distributors and Foodservice Operator Chains

* Utilize internal operating systems to develop and maintain various sales reports needed on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis



Insight and Assistance to Divisional Vice President

* Prepare monthly Divisional reports to measure Sales Volume, Sales Spending, Trade Spending and Contribution Margin against Objectives

* Provide recommendations for Contribution Margin improvement



Miscellaneous Customer and Departmental Presentations

* Customer presentations in PowerPoint

* Develop New Product sales presentation templates that include charts, graphs, and updated information with the assistance of the Foodservice Marketing Director



Project Administration

* Correspondence and coordination with internal Red Gold FS Sales Teams and Red Gold Departments

* Annual Foodservice Budget preparation and assistance

* Project coordination



Customer Assistance

* Assist Customers/Brokers and answer questions as required



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor s degree required

* 5+ years experience in a sales environment, with at least 2 years of proven analytical experience
