SAP Business Warehouse Analyst - ReqCode 2746896

Dow Corning currently seeks a SAP Business Warehouse Analyst capable of making meaningful contributions to the design, implementation, and on-going support of the corporation's data warehousing solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with analysts and business users to capture requirements and translate functional specifications into technical design documents. The SAP BW Analyst will then develop assigned portions of the solution and be responsible for providing testing and on-going support.
The SAP BW Analyst will be responsible for Full Life Cycle Development of SAP BW Projects.
You will be responsible for gathering business requirements, developing functional specifications, process mapping, design specifications and data modeling. You will be responsible for implementing the technology solution and being the technology steward for the SAP BW environment.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience developing SAP Business Warehouse solutions.
The selected candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The SAP BW analyst must have the willingness to work flexible hours including rotational 24/7 on-call support responsibilities and occasional work during off-hours and weekends.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The selected candidate must have experience with ER and multi-dimensional Star Schema data modeling. Experience in building SAP BW Components like InfoCubes, ODS Objects, MultiCubes, InfoSources, PSAs, Multi-Providers, Info Packages, Update Rules, Transfer Rules, Start Routines, and Process Chains is also required. Experience performing transformations (BI7), Data Transfer Process, Aggregates, Open Hub Service (Info Spokes), Business Content activation. Experience performing data loads including Info Package scheduling, Process Chain of events such as OLTP extractions, delta/full updates, ODS data activation, data load in cubes, aggregate roll-ups and maintaining indexes. The selected candidate must have experience activating, configuring, and customizing (extending) Generic and Business Content Extractors with knowledge by functional area. Experience with SAP BW Performance Tuning of Queries by maintaining Aggregates, Indexes, InfoCube Compression, InfoCube Partitioning, Statistics, and BW Accelerator as well as data loads using BW tools. Experience with Security design, configuration, & support for BI/BW is required. An aptitude for learning new technologies & technique quickly and for maintaining that knowledge in an ever changing environment.
